Deleting your account or your data

Shri Jyoti Star is made by Vedic Software (Andrew Foss). You can remove part of your data from inside the app yourself, or ask us to close your account and delete everything.

Remove part of your data, in the app

You do not have to close your account to delete things from it. In Shri Jyoti Star you can delete:

• an entry, from the entry browser
• a page, or a single chart, table or graph on a page
• a tag, which also removes it from every entry carrying it

These take effect immediately and sync to your other devices. There is nothing to request and nothing to wait for.

Ask us to delete part of it

If you would rather not do it yourself, or you no longer have the app installed, email privacy@shrijyotistar.com from the address your account uses and say which entries, pages or tags to remove. Your account stays open. We answer within a month, do not charge for it, and confirm when it is done. If a request is unusually complex we may need up to two months more, and we will tell you why within the first month.

What is deleted

The account itself, and with it your entries, your pages, your tags, your events and your settings — from the live database, and from backups on their normal rotation.

What is kept

Crash reports and product analytics are kept to the vendor’s standard retention and are not extended. If you joined the release-note email list, your address stays on it until you ask to come off — say so in the same email and we will take you off at the same time.
